CEREDO, WV 25507 Our hearts were saddened on May
3 when one of our long time elders, L. Carl Cornell, passed from
this life suddenly. Bro. Cornell was 86 years of age and had been
an elder in the Lord's church for 42 years and served well. He
will be missed by the church in Ceredo and other parts of West
Virginia. He leaves to mourn a lovely wife, three daughters, and

SALEM, WV 26426 We had a wonderful Gospel Meeting
April 4-9, with Dan Smith, of Clarion, PA. The attendance was
good, with several visitors from the community. One sister confessed
sin and requested prayers; two young men, Thomas Wilsoncroft and
Curtis Ash, were baptized into Christ. The Salem and the Ten Mile
churches of Christ will conduct a joint one-day VBS July 24. We
are now planning our 50th year anniversary with homecoming events.
We, along with the Ten Mile Church of Christ, will host the area
Friday night SING August 13, on the campus of Salem International
University. A homecoming picnic will be enjoyed at Doddridge County
Park on August 14. Services will be conducted Saturday night at
the church building. We will have homecoming Sunday with worship
services and a covered-dish dinner. Our speaker for all services
will be Hoover Spence. We cordially invite everyone to join with
us for these special events. We pray that all past members, friends,
and families will be able to "Come Back Home." Albert

CABINS, WV 26855 We would like to renew the WVC
for another year ... My father and mother, James & Ruth Bailey,
are doing as well as can be expected for 87 years old ... We continue
to enjoy reading the WVC and also learn from it. We enjoyed seeing
