The Lincoln Avenue Church of Christ hosted the
annual North Central Ohio Christian Lectureship November 12, 2005.
"God's Glorious Church" was the theme of the lectureship
this year. Nearly 100 people from all across the state of Ohio
and throughout the Ohio Valley were in attendance to hear lessons
from God's word regarding the church of our Lord given by faithful
and capable speakers.
The day began with spirited congregational singing
and a lesson by Albert Farley from Salem, West Virginia, on "The
New Testament Church in Prophecy." Brother Elmer "Hoover"
Spence of Mentor, Ohio, then spoke powerfully on the subject "The
Kingdom of God Is at Hand."
After a lunch prepared by the ladies of the church
the afternoon began in the same manner as did the morning session
with a "joyful noise to the Lord" with brother William
Skinner of Bucyrus, Ohio leading the congregational singing for
the event.
Brother James E. Farley, the evangelist at Crum,
West Virginia, boldly presented a wonderful lesson on the subject,
"The First Century Church, Falling Away, and Dark Ages."
Brother Rick Tincher of Mount Vernon, Ohio, gave the final lesson
entitled, "The Restoration Movement, the Apostasy of 1906,
and the Lord's Church in the 21st Century."
The lectureship ended with Rick Morris, the evangelist
of the Lincoln Avenue Church of Christ offering the Lord's invitation.
The Lincoln Avenue Church of Christ would like to cordially thank
everyone who helped make this lectureship such a great success!
