SMITHFIELD, WV 26437 - ... Keep up the good work
with your paper ... We at Pricetown are holding our own. We just
lost our oldest member. Brother Robert (Bob) Smith. He was 96
years old. We are getting ready for our Spring meeting with Steve
Stevens, April 24-30 at 7:30. Our VBS will be July 17-21. Our
Fall meeting will be October 16-22 with David Stevens. I am now
retired from working at Rush's Tire Service where I worked almost
42 years. I now have more time to do the Lord's work. I would
like to do some meeting work. -Leroy Burdine, PO Box 59. Telephone:

SISTERSVILLE, WV 26175 Nina and I moved to our
new house in Tyler County and began work with the church at Pursley
on January 1, 2006, after 26 marvelous years with the 36th Street
church in Vienna, WV. At that time I also accepted the position
of Director of Church Relations with Ohio Valley University. My
two new areas of interest are most compatible and I am enjoying
working in both positions. The Pursley congregation is realizing
some beautiful increases in the first three months of our efforts
together and we look forward to even better days ahead. Pursley
will celebrate 100 years in its present building on May 20 and
21. We have scheduled a dinner at the Sistersville firehouse on
Saturday, May 20th at 6:00 P.M. Quinet's Court Restaurant will
cater the meal. We would like all former members, as well as present
and past friends of the Pursley church to come and share in the
evening. Reservations for the meal are required no later than
May 15th and can be made @ $15.00 per person. This includes dessert,
drinks and gratuity. For reservations, call either 1-304-652-1194
or 1-304-652-2922. On Sunday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. there will
be a SING at Pursley as a part of this nice weekend celebration.
Please pray for continued success in our efforts at Pursley and
at OVU. -Tom Butterfield, 901 Tyler Hwy. Email: tombutterfield@1st.net

LEYTE, PHILIPPINES Leyte Disaster Report (March
9) I just got back from Leyte. This was my second trip. Will go
back there again and do more medical missions with my brother,
Dr. Sam Cariaga. We also gave materials for 20 beds. People were
just sleeping on the floor or on the ground. We were cramped like
Sardines in school classrooms (literally). We will donate 100
or more beds ASAP. We visited and met more orphans who lost everything.
We offered them full scholarships to study at Sunrise Christian
College in Butuan City in June. Salvador Cariaga. scariaga@mozcom.com
