MARTINSBURG, WV 25401 The work in Martinsburg
continues to move along in a good way. We have had 5 responses
to the invitation thus far in 2006. We anticipate more in the
very near future. We are now sponsoring radio programs 6 days
a week over a local station. Many of you ask about Kay's health
every time I talk to you. We appreciate your prayerful concern
so very much. She is doing well enough to work her job. She does,
however, use a wheelchair most of the time now. We are excited
to announce that we will be hosting the West Virginia Christian
Lectures in October 5-9, 2008, Lord willing. Our theme will be
from the book of Colossians. We also hope to study the book of
Ephesians during the week. Most of the speakers have been contacted
and given their assignments. Plans are coming together for a great
week of study. Brother Winford Claiborne will be the keynote speaker
each day. The congregation here gets a bundle of the West Virginia
Christian each month. It is very well received by our members.
Keep up the great work. You are greatly appreciated over this
way. Warren F. Kenney, 90 Waverly Court.
READER, WV 26167-9601 - ... I love the paper so
much. When I first started getting it I read it from front to
back without laying it down, but now due to old age my eyesight
is bad so I read one message at a time then rest my eyes for awhile.
I want to thank you for the article by brother Fred Dennis. He
was my apostle Paul. In 1945, Dec. 15th he married my husband
and me at Sistersville, W. Va. I've been a widow since March of
1987. May God bless you all in the good work of the W.Va. Christian.
I pray it will touch the hearts of many people, make Christians
stronger, and cause more people to become Christians. We sure
do need it. In Christian Love. Mary Tennant, HC 60, Box 36.
