PURSLEY, WV We are entering our ninth month with
the church in this community and things have never been more promising.
On August 25 Pursley hosted its first Friday Night Sing and it
was an overwhelming night. 198 people attended and we were blessed
with 28 song leaders. Our building only seats about 85 people,
so you can imagine what it was like. We had erected tents and
had a public address system for the outdoors. Refreshments were
served on the lawn following the singing. Pursley members and
several neighbors worked hard to prepare for what we knew would
be a great evening. It surpassed our greatest dreams. We thank
those who came from far and near to support our efforts. When
we began our work here, our Sunday morning attendance was averaging
about 15-20. At present we are having between 50 and 60 on an
average. Seven have been baptized and others are being taught.
If you have family and friends in our area that you would like
us to visit and encourage, please contact us and we'll do our
best to help. Call 304 652-1194 or 304 210-4046. Email: tombutterfield@1st.net
