When Joseph introduced his father, Jacob, and
his brothers to Pharaoh in Genesis 47, Pharaoh said, "The
land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy
father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell:
and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make
them rulers over my cattle." (6)
Men and women of activity are always in high demand.
It has been said, "If you want something done, find a busy
person to do it."
The land of opportunity is before us. Satan will
seek to hinder us, but we can do all things through Christ who
strengthens us. We rejoice in the many activities of the Lord's
church in our area. The summer season has certainly been busy,
and we pray that many souls are being saved and strengthened in
the Lord.
The Pennsboro church of Christ is fully engaged
in their preparations for their lectureship scheduled for September
9-12. Have you made your plans to attend? I am looking forward
to seeing many of our readers there.
Another new congregation has subscribed to the
paper. We are now sending 88 bundles, in addition to our individual
permit mailings. Our total circulation last month was 2,719 copies.
