Before I Die

Wayne Jackson

Christian Courier Publications has announced the publication of a new commentary of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus, written by Wayne Jackson.

In announcing this new work, Jason Jackson wrote, "Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus were designed to assist and encourage faithful men in their duty. For that reason, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus hold a special place in Wayne's heart, as they do in the heart of every gospel preacher ... (b)ut brother Jackson knows that these books were intended to be read by every Christian. The study of Paul's letters benefits every member of the Lord's church: elders, deacons, preachers, teachers, young Christians, older Christians, Christian women, the entire body of Christ. Having poured his heart into a study of these books, brother Jackson turned his attention to sharing his efforts with others as he has done for many years. At last, he is thrilled to offer to the Lord's church, Before I Die: Paul's Letters to Timothy and Titus."

"Wayne Jackson has written more than two dozen scholarly, yet practical, books on a variety of biblical topics including The Acts of the Apostles from Jerusalem to Rome. He is also the editor of the Christian Courier, a monthly journal of biblical studies." (Back cover)

Before I Die is 380 pages in length. In his Preface, brother Jackson wrote, "Before I Die is characterized by several important features. It provides brief, though adequate, introductions to each of these apostolic epistles. It demonstrates how these precious letters fit into the overall scheme of the apostle's ministry. The discussions highlight problems that both Timothy and Titus were encountering in their ministries, and therefore contain relevant data for the instruction of church leaders today." (p. 10)
