The Lord commanded Isaiah to lift up his voice like a trumpet and to show His people their transgressions. He commanded them to engage in a fast that He had chosen a fast that would loose the bands of wickedness, undo heavy burdens, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke! If they would depart from their hypocrisy and practice pure religion, their light would rise in obscurity, and their darkness would be as the noonday! Isaiah 58. If they would draw out their souls to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, they would be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in. (12)

Today, in the religious world in and out of the Lord's church there is much formalism and ritualism in the worship and service of God. Many seek Him daily and delight to know His ways, but they have only a form of godliness, denying the power thereof. 2 Timothy 3:5

Truly, the Lord needs true workers to repair the breaches (breaks and gaps) that have been made to the gospel of Christ and to the church of Christ! The Lord needs true disciples to restore the old paths wherein is the good way! Jeremiah 6:16
