Juanita Epler was called to her reward last July
12th. She had suffered multiple strokes over the five years she
was in the nursing home.
She was a veteran of over fifty years as a preacher's
wife. Her ministry included six years in Utah, five years in New
Jersey, ten in California, as well as her home state of West Virginia
and neighboring Ohio.
A few high points in her life were being chosen
speaker of a Pepperdine University Ladies Day, and being featured
in Christian Woman, "Brighten the Corner Where You
Are."
She was chosen to be the "Belle of Monroe
County" for the 2002 Glenville State Festival.
She began having minor strokes during that week
but had several major ones on the way home. (We thought they were
due to being diabetic, high sugar reactions.) She had been in
the hospitals and the nursing home since then.
Through her work with the sisters in various congregations,
she won many souls and influenced many sisters who were married
to unbelievers in winning their mates for the Lord. One in particular,
a childhood sweetheart, an atheist whom her faithful attendance
at all services exposed to Gospel preaching, eventually was baptized
and began preaching her husband for sixty-seven years.
He and her children "rise up and praise her."
