Please Help Support This Preacher

Vernon W. Kerns

His name is Benjamin Richardson. He is a broadcaster for Truth for the World, a program currently overseen by the elders of the Duluth Church of Christ in Duluth, Georgia.

His work involves preparing and recording weekly 30-minute television and radio programs and weekly 15-minute radio programs. The Truth for the World programs are aired on radio stations throughout the world. The television programs are seen in 12 states and in the Philippines. It is carried into 15 million homes in the United States weekly on Dish Network (Mondays, 12:30 EST, channels 9407 and 9396). On any given week, Truth for the World programs have a potential of reaching two billion souls.

Since 2006, the Richardson family has had a little over half of their needed support, and at this time, they are facing financial difficulties. Benjamin’s wife has been facing some serious medical issues. Their only vehicle for the family of 6 has more than 150,000 miles on it, and it is giving them problems. They realize that many other families are going through financial difficulties at this time; however, if they could get a number of families to commit to $15 or $25 a month or a number of congregations to commit to $25 or $50 per month, they could possibly reach their goal. Any amount would help, but, if a few congregations could help with a one-time contribution of $250, $500, or $1000, that would be a huge help at this time.

(We rejoice in the good work that is being done through Truth for the World, and we are thankful to learn about the work of Benjamin Richardson. We have learned about brother Benjamin through Vernon Kerns, the preacher for the church of Christ at Shock, WV. Brother Vernon sends this additional information: “Benjamin married Elisha Wolfe who is the granddaughter of Bernice Wolf. Sister Wolfe has been a faithful member of the Shock congregation for many, many years. Also, Keith Wolfe, Elisha’s father, was instrumental in starting the congregation of the Lord’s church in Soperton, Georgia. He is still very active in that congregation.” We encourage our readers to inquire into the financial needs of this young family and to help supply their needs. You may send your financial support to brother Richardson at Truth for the World, PO Box 5048, Duluth, GA 30096-5048. -Editor)
