LORAIN, OH 44052 – The work at Lorain, OH is going well. Since our last report, we have had two baptisms and four restorations. Plans for our upcoming North Central Ohio Bible Lectureship are well underway. The dates are August 23rd through 26th. Our theme this year is “Can We Trust Our Bible?” Speakers include Steve Stevens, James Watkins, David Everson, Steve Smithbauer, Dan Jenkins, Jim Smith, Brad Poe, Warren Kenney, Harold Reddick, Mark Weaver. Darlene McKinley, Rosemary Summers, and Sandra Jones will speak to the ladies. The Holiday Inn in Elyria, OH has given us a special rate of $40+tax per night for anyone who attends the lectureship. I just closed a gospel meeting with the Lighthouse Church of Christ in Milton, DE. This is a small congregation just a few miles north of Rehoboth Beach, DE. GALLIPOLIS, OH 45631 – Many thanks to Albert and Nancy for the many hours they donate each month in putting together a religious journal full of well-written, Biblical subjects and church news. I usually read all of mine the same day I receive it. We have had two restorations lately at Chapel Hill in Gallipolis. I am looking forward to preaching at Laurel Hill, Radford, VA Sunday August 23rd. This will be Home Coming Day and many congregations will attend. A big dinner is planned on the grounds. SALEM, WV 26426 – We recently conducted a good gospel meeting with Jim Farley of the Fort Gay church of Christ. Two souls responded publicly, acknowledging and confessing sin, and requesting prayer. Many invitations were given. Our attendance was good. The Lord willing, the Ten Mile congregation and Salem will co-host the Friday night SING on August 7. We have reserved the Brewster Chapel building on the campus of Salem International University for the evening. There are plenty of parking places and the acoustics are wonderful.
