The president of this nation has, once again, offended the God of the universe by proclaiming June 2010 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. (http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/presidential-proclamation-lesbian-gay-bisexual-and-transgender-pride-month) This proclamation by the highest official of our nation is a mark against all that is holy, just, and good, and we, here, register our greatest opposition to it. We will not be intimidated by charges that we are too political, racist, or that we are not politically correct. Politics and race have nothing to do with it. God has revealed His Will concerning sexual perversions. There are few things more clearly revealed. Read the first chapter of the apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Rome. (1:16-32)
The pretense behind this proclamation is to further love, mercy, and kindness and to oppose hatred, abuse, bullying, and murder. However, it is one thing to encourage love, mercy, and kindness and quite another to condone, encourage, support, and applaud what is sinful, wicked, and perverted. Our Lord has taught us to oppose sin and to follow righteousness. The righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel. Truly, “Righteousness exhalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34.
Yes, the world lies in sin. Without haughtiness or self-righteousness, God’s people, the church, must be blameless and harmless, the sons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom they must shine as lights in the world: Holding forth the word of life! Philippians 2:15, 16. This is what we earnestly seek to do by this paper. Please join with us. –Albert.
