MOUNTAIN CITY, TN 37683 - ... I am 55 years old and tend to the needs of the elderly men here (68-89). I help them write letters, pick up their food trays, even assist them in some hygiene functions. But most of all they love for me to read to them. I always read the Word first ... Then, in the evenings I often read to them articles from the Christian ... I really enjoyed the articles: they were inspiring, edifying and most of all instructional. Thank you for remembering us in prison ... PS: Of all of the newspapers that I have read throughout the years, only the Christian has the addresses of the authors in case you wanted to write to them ... Michael Bridges, #105600 NECX/Ax, PO Box 5000.

SANDYVILLE, WV 25275 Thank you for your work in providing this resource for the people of our state and those outside our state who are fortunate enough to receive it. We always enjoy the articles, news from around the state and the updates on the progress of the paper itself. Please keep up the good work. Many of our members send the paper to their relatives both Christian and non-Christians alike. The work here in Sandyville is going well, we are preparing for a real good meeting this spring with Frank Higginbotham and Glenn Hawkins doing the preaching ... We plan to do some door knocking in the area again this year to better encourage our neighbors to hear the pure, simple truth of the gospel. We have more subscriptions for the paper this year than last ... Jonathan R. Leininger, Rt. 3 Box 189.

CRUM, WV 25669 I spoke at the lectureship at LaFollette, TN in January. The congregation there carries my article "Have You Wondered ...?" in their local paper. I preached at the Central church of Christ in Martinsburg, WV in March. The church there supports our work here. We will travel to Texas in April for a gospel meeting at Hewett April 18-21. We have had four baptisms in March. We have sent out three issues of The Mountain Messenger. We have a monthly circulation of around 3,600, with 2,200 going into every home in the Crum/Kermit area. You may read the current issue at http://www.tcofchrist.org/mmhome.html or you may receive it by mail, free of charge. Contact us. We had a Winter Series Bible Study from January through April, studying "The Work of the Holy Spirit." We are also conducting a monthly "Leadership Training Class." Last month we had 4 congregations represented with 21 present. We will have our spring meeting May 23-28 with Lewis Mikell and Warren Kenney. We have scheduled a VBS for June. James E.
