PARKERSBURG, WV 26104 I thought you all might be excited to learn that Larry Morlan, Jim Kerns, and Donnie Estep just returned from two weeks in Kenya and Tanzania where they taught and baptized more than 60 souls. John Morlan mom_morlan@juno.com

MARIETTA, OH 45750 Harmar Hill celebrated their 50th anniversary with a special service on October 16th with W. Terry Varner speaking. Our Fall Gospel Meeting with Charles Pugh III was also held the week of October 16-20. J.D. Conley is the regular minister. P.O. Box 104.

WADSWORTH, OH September 9-11 was one of the most memorable weekends experienced by the church at Wadsworth. On Friday evening we had our Annual Sing. It was attended by over 100 souls from 14 area congregations. Twenty-three song leaders led us in songs. Then, on Saturday and Sunday we hosted the 8th Annual West Virginia School of Preaching Lectureship. During the day we enjoyed excellent messages by students, graduates, and one instructor. On Sunday, the director of WVSOP, Denver Cooper, spoke three times. The purpose for our having these lectureships is twofold. It acquaints people in our area with the school and it acquaints those young men who are preparing to preach with our area. It has proven to be beneficial to everyone concerned. I would highly recommend this to congregations of the Lord's people. Don Cooper, 236 W. Good Ave.

(Editor's Note: The following excerpts are from five letters received from our brother Ray Jackson, a faithful supporter of West Virginia Christian. We use Ray's donations to send the paper to those who cannot afford it, to those young in the faith, to overseas addresses, etc. He is a wonderful encourager of our work.)
