Am Urgent Personal Appeal

Wallace E. Skipper

The extensive radio ministry of the International Gospel Hour has become one of the most widely heard programs on the air today. The direct approach of this program reflects the biblical concept of evangelistic preaching. Not one moment is given to the praise of man but rather a message of "Jesus Christ and Him crucified." As we look forward to 2007, our 73rd year of gospel radio ministry, we want to add additional stations that will carry the New Testament plea to more people. We are praying our financial support will enable us to take advantage of more time on America's great 50,000 Watt stations. With your support, we will not have to cancel any of our broadcasts on some of these great stations. Our support comes only from churches and individuals interested in this great ministry to preach the Gospel. Without your support our broadcast simply cannot stay on the air. Please help us reach more people with the truth of God's word.

(Editor's note: The article above was written by brother Wallace E. Skipper just before he died of cancer on October 18. He preached the gospel for 51 years. He worked closely with the International Gospel Hour radio programs for 26 years first, with V.E. Howard and, later, with Winford Claiborne. He was the speaker on the "1 Gospel Minute" programs and also served as General Manager. This work is under the oversight of the elders of the West Fayetteville Church of Christ, Fayetteville, TN. We remember brother Wallace when he preached for the Camden Avenue Church of Christ in Parkersburg, WV, and we always looked forward to seeing him at the International Gospel Hour display at the F-HU lectures each year. We encourage individuals and congregations to send donations to this good work. You may send them to International Gospel Hour, P.O. Box 118, Fayetteville, TN 37334)
