GALLIPOLIS, OH 45631 – We’ve just closed a good meeting at Chapel Hill in Gallipolis with bro. Thomas Wortham doing the preaching. Sunday, Aug. 23rd, was “Home Coming Day” with the Laurel Hill congregation, Radford, VA. I was invited to preach at both services. About a dozen congregations were present with a big dinner on the grounds. Laurel Hill has been a faithful congregation for 150 years. Sept. 24th and 25th I was invited to preach at Crum, WV. Have been holding meetings for them over 50 years. Lord’s Day, Nov. 29th, I’m invited to preach for the South Franklin Street congregation in Christiansburg, VA. LORAIN, OH 44053 - … I rejoice with you in the success of the West Virginia Christian. This is a good publication, serving the readers with good, scriptural lessons and general information. It is my prayer that success will continue to bless you and this good work … Last January I had to have a cardiac stint implant performed … The Cleveland Clinic removed one third of my right kidney. LOUISA, KY 41230 – The work at the Fort Gay, WV church of Christ continues to grow with two recent baptisms. There have been 7 baptisms and 8 restorations over the past 16 months. Attendance is in the 40’s; contributions continue to increase. A weekly article, entitled, “What We Believe …” is appearing in the Wayne County News. A weekly half-hour radio program is being broadcast on WFGH-FM in Fort Gay. The Mountain Messenger paper is now being sent to over 14,400 homes each mailing, including all households in Kermit, Crum, Fort Gay, Warfield, Beauty, and Louisa. The Winter Series Bible Studies began November 5 on the false doctrines of Dispensational Premillennialism. –James E. Farley, 1179 Mark Wayne Dr.
