It Is Our Time

John King

Ephesians 1:4 tells us that the church was in the mind of God before the creation of our world. Before God brought His children into existence, physically, He was planning for their spiritual needs. Parents-to-be, this priority of concerns is a vital precedent to be recognized and followed.

Dolores and I now have seven grandchildren. The oldest is eighteen years old and the youngest only one. According to the doctors, the two youngest are not supposed to be here, but, what medical science said was impossible, our God was able to accomplish. The degree of family love I feel toward those that call me grandpa amazes even me. Yet, at the same time, the degree of concern for their spiritual well-being exceeds my earthly feelings toward them.

The America I grew up in was a different America. Back then, we were a God-fearing nation. A nation where our country, itself, helped provide safety from Satan for children. Today, it is the opposite. The safety net of morality through belief in God has eroded to the point where America, herself, devours her young. Those that escape abortion must fight a life- long battle against a nation that “Knows not God,” anymore.

Recently, Dolores and I attended the Second Annual Evening of Values for the Warren Apologetics Center. This center’s primary purpose is to prove the existence of God and bring about the positive effects of that belief. My motives for supporting this project and movement are many, but, for sure, my concern for my grandchildren and all children is near the top of the list. Satan, through atheism, is out to physically and spiritually destroy our children, especially those of Christian parents.

In the book of Esther, God’s people were on the brink of genocide. Queen Esther found herself in a position to save the Jews from destruction, but she was fearful to step out and assume the responsibility. Her uncle, Mordecai, told her, “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14. It is now the 21st Century A.D. Atheism is trying to exterminate belief in God. Fellow 21st Century Christians, maybe we are alive today “for such a time as this.” Believers who lived during the restoration movement “had their time” to fight denominationalism. Believers in the early 20th Century “had their time” to take advantage of interest in pure New Testament Christianity.

Brethren, let us rise to the occasion and not let the opportunity pass by. It is called the Warren Apologetics Center at www.warrenapologeticscenter.org. Help give your descendants and all the lost a fighting chance now, and after you are gone from this life.
