 The Bible teaches, “… the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” 1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV). God hates covetousness. Proverbs 28:16; Mark 7:21-23. He equates it with the worst kind of sin because of its far-reaching consequences. 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10. One of the greatest sins one can commit is that which causes suffering, hardship, and debt for the purpose of making unethical profit to satisfy one’s own greedy lust!

 Where are our morals?

 A man once wrote, “Democracies can only stand until greedy citizens learn where the money comes from.” I understand full-well our free enterprise system of economics. Profits are not a bad thing. However, excessive profit-taking through price fixing and price gouging is covetousness. “But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?” James 2:6

 If the nation of people who trusts in Jehovah is blessed (Psalm 33:12), how much longer will the God of heaven bless the United States of America? “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34. -4384 Baer Road, Marion, OH 43302.
